Purpose:

This is a development role. The successful candidate will work under the close supervision of and report to the Ship’s Superintendent (senior) within the Maintenance Directorate. They will be expected to gain the knowledge and experience necessary in order to provide support to the vessels on matters related to maintenance.

Key Deliverables:

  • Work with the Ships Superintendent to ensure vessels are compliant with company management policies, ISM code, Class rules and Flag state.
  • Worldwide vessel attendance to supervise audits and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and monitor planned maintenance periods.
  • Technical Administrative support and supervision of vessels in close consultation with Ship Superintendent, dealing with routine and non-routine maintenance and repair, including authorizing authorising and supervising the supply of spare parts, stores and services
  • Keeping the Ships Superintendent and Senior Project Manager informed of any critical areas which may compromise operational readiness, together with budget variations.
  • Ensure adequate spare parts to meet Dry Dock requirements are held on board.
  • Assist in surveys for statutory and classification requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of dry dock/refit specifications and adjudicate tender returns , Change Orders , Quotes with the Ships Superintendent
  • Support the management of dry docks with due regard to agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Complete Dry Dock and other reports on work completed with guidance from Ship Superintendent.
  • Carry out and assist as required with risk assessment procedures and accident / incident investigations and prepare reports as required.
  • To undertake Duty Superintendents duties as required after suitable training and provide annual leave support for vessels assigned to other Ship Superintendents.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of HND in an Engineering discipline
  • Competent MS Office Suit User (Word & Excel) for ANY candidate.

  • 2nd Class Certificate of Competency (Engine)
  • Relevant shore experience
  • Knowledge of plant marine systems.
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Positioning Systems, submersible vehicles, and cable working machinery and equipment an advantage

Purpose:       

This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of marketing and communications solutions for the Global Marine Group and other companies within the group. The Marketing Coordinator will support the day to day activities of the department providing invaluable support to the team.

Key Deliverables:

  • Working with the Director of Corporate Communications and the rest of the team support the implementation of integrated marketing activities, which support the company’s business plan and strategy for growth.
  • Coordinate digital marketing activity for the business including: updating company websites ensuring content is up to date, accurate, engaging and relevant to enhance SEO and to increase website performance. Additionally, proactively use of other online platforms including social media, building profile and engagement
  • Develop the use of email marketing campaigns to increase traffic to the website.
  • Utilise SharePoint for internal marketing promotion.
  • Monitor competitor social media, websites and email newsletters and keep on file best practice
  • Develop and maintain our corporate PowerPoint presentations.

Key Deliverables:

Commercial Finance

  • Business partnering with key personnel to understand primary cost / revenue drivers and variances
  • Daily liaison with operational and commercial management to understand costs and to provide both challenge and support to forecasts & budgets

Purpose:

Safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of all designated electrical and electronic equipment on board and to carry out duties depending on ship manning/operational requirements.

Duties:

  • Arrange regular inspections, tests and repairs of all designated electrical and electronic equipment; to maintain planned maintenance systems and complete appropriate records and reports as designated by the Company and/or the Chief Engineer.
  • Ensure that he is familiar with the machinery and systems so that, in an emergency situation, essential services can be safely and speedily restored. The Electrical Officer must have a full understanding of, and abide by, Company policies, procedures, work permits and instructions, and the Code of Safe Working Practices.
  • Assist with survey work as directed by the Chief Engineer.
  • Ensure that any information he enters in the maintenance records is accurate. The Electrical Officer’s hand-over notes must encompass a comprehensive coverage of his work during his period of engagement on the ship and he will ensure that all manuals and drawings pertaining to electrical work are kept up to date.  Any changes to manuals on drawings shall be notified to the appropriate Ship Co-ordinator to ensure all copies are updated.
  • Notify the Chief Engineer of spare gear and stores requirements.
  • Be fully conversant with the relevant Codes of Practice.
  • Keep the Chief Engineer fully informed as to the progress of any work which he has undertaken and inform the Chief Engineer of any defects or problems encountered in his area of responsibility.
  • As requested to work on the D.P. System, he shall report directly to the Master or the D.P. Officer on watch. No equipment will be taken off-line whilst the vessel is operating in D.P. mode without the permission of the Master or the D.P. Officer on watch, and a note to this effect must be entered in the D.P. logbook.

Purpose:

To produce, maintain, issue and where necessary check 2D & 3D drawings such as Mobilisation Layouts, Mechanical devices, Structures, and Storyboards to meet the needs of the business.
The designs will predominantly relate to vessels, offshore construction operations, marine activities and subsea related items. These will mainly be grouped into two categories, design drawings detailing a proposed structure / layout, and drawings to aid procedures and planned operations.
You will manage and control the production of the drawings from concept to final delivery, ensuring and upholding the highest standards of quality assurance and draughting standards. This may also include being deployed outside the office, supporting any works during fabrication, installation and where necessary operations, requiring a willingness to travel, a can-do attitude and overriding commitment to safety by design.

Key Deliverables:

  • To be embedded in the Engineering team, working alongside others producing concept to detail design of equipment layouts, mechanical products and structures predominately related to offshore platforms, wind farms, ships, ROVs and underwater cables and in other fields as necessary.
  • Develop, maintain and adhere to Company drawing procedures, ensuring standards are uniform and appropriate for all the business units. This is part of the continuous improvement process.
  • Manage company drawings from mark-ups to final delivery, where these are carried out by others, ensure appropriate QA is in place.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

    Dimensions / converting to PDF / Scaling.
  • HND Qualified in Mechanical/ Civil/ Naval/ Engineering Discipline or Strong experience in

Purpose:

To provide facilities support to the Facilities team.

Key Deliverables:

  • To assist both Stores & Logistics Supervisor and Stores & Maintenance Supervisor, with daily tasks
  • Preparation and maintenance of meeting rooms, including setting up seating and general tidying
  • Perform general repairs to the premises and building fixtures.
  • Perform office moves and furniture reconfiguration
  • Stores Despatch Duties – logging and accurate boxing up and labelling of parcels
  • Stock take cleaning products and submission of order to the Facilities Manager

Purpose:

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to complete in a timely manner all aspects of tax and statutory filing requirements for various group companies.  This will include completion of monthly routines and involvement in system and process enhancements.

  • Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, supporting all monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables in accordance with agreed reporting timetable

Purpose:

To carry out cable-engineering duties within the shipboard cable operations department, and develop into the Chief Cable Engineer role.

Duties:

  • Take responsibility for the departments efficient and safe operation during the Chief Cable Engineer’s absence.
  • Organise and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the department as directed by the Chief Cable Engineer.
  • Take duties alternatively with the Chief Cable Engineer and be capable of carrying out the cable engineering requirements of the operation being performed.
  • Take responsibility of the test room and ensure that all logs, records and accounts are correctly maintained.
  • Undertake and manage the maintenance, testing and calibration of all equipment under the control of the department.
  • Take responsibility for the compilation of data and records following repairs and installation.
  • Supervise cable jointing and assess the radiographs and quality of cable joints.
  • Act as the vessels network and computer administrator and support all I.T. requirements onboard.
  • Undertake the role of DPSO during power feed operations and management of PSM’s with Terminal stations during repairs.
  • Ensure that the relevant CWPs, procedures and manuals are complied with.
