Founded in 1850, Global Marine Group and its predecessors have a long history in the telecommunications industry, starting with our pioneering work in the telegraph sector.
On this day, 175 years ago, the very first subsea cable installation began between Dover and Calais, completed by a wooden steam tug ship, the Goliath.
Since then the Group has consistently been at the forefront of subsea telecoms, providing infrastructure and technology solutions that enhance global connectivity and support the development of modern telecommunication networks.
